here is a common shell script you can put in your cgi-bin directory that
creates and display a single image from the connected camera:

name=$REMOTE_HOST
cd /tmp
/usr/sbin/vidtomem -f $name 1> /dev/null 2>&1
/usr/sbin/imgcopy ${name}-00000.rgb ${name}.jpg 1> /dev/null 2>&1
echo Content-type: image/jpeg
echo
cat ${name}.jpg
rm -f ${name}*
